Clear your Clipboard on Windows
EDIT: Looks like the “clipbrd.exe” file isn’t included with Windows Vista. To counteract this, you can copy the file over from a Windows XP installation to your System32 directory in Windows Vista.
Here’s how to easily clear, display, and manage your clipboard data.
- Right click on your desktop.
- Hover your mouse over “New”.
- Click “Shortcut”.
- Type in the following location into the box that appears.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\clipbrd.exe - Name the shortcut “Clipboard Viewer”.
- Once completed double click on your newly created shortcut.
- The Clipboard viewer application will appear. From here you can manipulate your clipboard data.
- To delete the data on your clipboard (if any) click the “X” in the toolbar. Not the “X” at the top right of the window.
